On November 22nd, 2019 — about a year ago — I attended the Agile Day Twin Cities conference. One of the last events I went to in person before the global pandemic joined us in 2020. My goodness, I miss conferences.

In this particular conference, Michaele and I were honored to be asked by the organizers to share the Agile Best Self Principles workshop. We had an amazing experience. We decided to host an Open Space to continue the conversation, which led us to what has now become the Agile Best Self Workshop. I still had time to share my friend Dahm Hongchai’s Me We workshop. It was an inspiring day.
What I love about live conferences is the free exchange of inspiration. Sharing ideas in the conference, personal connections during meals and breaks (and happy hours!), and receiving inspiring feedback which propels us forward. This is what being a part of a like-hearted community is all about.
Agile Best Self Principle #12: At regular intervals, reflect on how to become your best self, then tune and adjust.
So, today I am grateful for in-person conferences, and the like-hearted communities. We can’t enjoy them right now, but I am looking forward to when we can be together to inspire one another.
See you there!
